What is Tanka's Smart Reply feature?
Tanka's Smart Reply provides instant, context-aware, and personalized reply suggestions for both messages and emails. It helps streamline communication by analyzing conversations in real-time, while taking into consideration the memories learnt from your documents, wikis, calendar, etc.
How does Smart Reply work?
It integrates with your messaging and email apps to generate tailored responses based on the content of conversations or email threads. Such powerful capability is supported by a decade of research on cognitive memory powered AI by Tanka's founding team.
It's also easy to use: If you are on mobile, just swipe up; if you are on web version, just click your AI assistant. If you have specific idea in mind, just type the brief idea and swipe up, and let the Smart Reply make it a beautifully crafted message based on your draft.
You can also teach your AI Assistant your style, such as 'Remember for smart replies always add emoji'.

What is Memory? How to use Memory?
Memory in Tanka refers to the AI's ability to turn scattered data and files into long-term memory. This feature allows the AI to understand your team better, making collaboration more natural and insightful.
For example, your raw chat logs, emails, and documents uploaded to Tanka are scattered data. They are unstructured and do not contain direct insights. Tanka AI turns them into organized summaries or extracted key points, transforming the data into structured and processed memories.
Your AI's memory will be updated automatically with every messages and documents you save. Simply select the messages and click 'save to memo'. You can leverage Memory in many ways, such as:
Project Tracking: Save project updates and documents in Memory to keep everyone on the same page.
Client Notes: Store important client details and past interactions for quick reference during meetings.
Training Materials: Keep onboarding documents handy for new team members to access easily.

What is AI Assistant?
The AI Assistant in Tanka is a personalized feature that helps with summarizing unread messages, creating action lists, analyzing documents, translating languages, and conducting online searches, all while leveraging stored memory for better context.
With Tanka's AI Assistant, you can get accurate answers to your questions without inputing long prompts. Or organize and categorize data from various sources into a cohesive memory for easy retrieval. Or track yours or your team's daily performance, and so many more.
What types of messages can the AI Assistant read?
The AI Assistant can read and analyze various types of messages, including chats, emails, images, audio, PDFs and documents, to provide relevant insights and suggestions.
Does Tanka train its model on our data?
No, the technology used in enterprise solutions does not involve model training. Instead, it utilizes Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG). This means that Tanka harnesses the power of AI, such as GPT models, to locate information within a specific database. Importantly, this process does not involve training on client data.
Where is my data stored? Can our data be accessed by other clients of Tanka?
Your data is stored in the United States and Singapore (only for clients based in Asia Pacific). Tanka's infrastructure is designed with multiple layers of protection (defense in depth) to safeguard your data during transmission, storage, and processing. This includes encryption, least-privilege access, and secure software development practices.
Your data will not be accessed by anyone else outside of your organization without your explicit authorization. Each customer's data is saved and encrypted on Tanka's data centers, which are hosted in top-tier cloud service providers, Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure, etc. AI-generated responses for each customer are based on their knowledge bases and public data on the Internet, and do not use confidential information from other organizations.
